The roots of Sundance LB Stock Farm trace back to the legendary Arenosa Pony Farm, founded in 1941 by Audrey and Clinton Barrett in Victoria, Texas. What began as a way to provide ponies for local children quickly evolved into one of the most influential Shetland breeding programs in the country.

Arenosa Legacy

  • Audrey Barrett was deeply committed to developing ponies with exceptional quality, structure, and movement. Rather than following industry trends, she focused on preserving and strengthening bloodlines through careful, intentional breeding—setting a standard that still defines Arenosa ponies today.

    At the heart of the program was the iconic stallion Kewpie Doll’s Oracle, whose influence shaped generations of ponies known for their beauty, athleticism, and consistency. His legacy became the foundation of the Arenosa name and its reputation worldwide.

    Arenosa ponies gained national and international recognition, with horses exported across North America and beyond. Even as trends shifted, Audrey remained dedicated to maintaining pure bloodlines—preserving the integrity, type, and uniformity that made Arenosa ponies so respected.
